Jack Newton, Associate, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners
Jack joined Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in 2002. He was made an Associate in 2011 and a Senior Associate in 2016. His first project was The Leadenhall Building, where he played a key role in each stage of the planning and design process, seeing it through to its completion in 2014. He worked on the structural and landscape design, as well as the MEP and interiors packages; and spent three years on-site, working closely with the contractor, Laing O’Rourke.
Jack also worked on the competition concept design and scheme design stages for Riverlight, an 800 unit residential development in Vauxhall, where he was responsible for the cladding and structure design development and coordinating the drawing package.
As well as a number of other London- based feasibility and concept design studies, Jack has also been involved in international projects in Naples and Verona, and was part of the team which worked on the Protos Winery in Spain; a project that was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize. He was also the lead architect on a competition-winning design for a museum and market at the Berlin Forum.
Currently, Jack is working on the redevelopment of central campus at the London School of Economics (LSE), where he is the lead architect on the design of the facade and structure.
